Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Recall 13V255000
Panoramic Glass Roof May Detach
The panoramic glass roof can detach and come off the vehicle while driving.
Mitsubishi will notify owners of the affected vehicles but as of this writing a notification schedule has not been released. If you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Mitsubishi recall number is SR-13-007.
2011 Outlander Sport models are being recalled because the panoramic glass roof may not have been properly installed during vehicle assembly. If a primer was not used before the adhesive was applied, the glass may not be as secure as it should be. As a result the glass could detach from the vehicle while driving, creating a road hazard for other vehicles. Dealers will inspect the panoramic glass and re-install as necessary.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2011 Outlander Sport vehicles manufactured August 26, 2010, through March 29, 2011. The panoramic glass roof may have been installed without primer being applied before the adhesive.
Without primer being used, the panoramic glass roof may have reduced adhesion, possibly allowing the glass roof to detach from the vehicle, resulting in a road hazard to other vehicles.
MMNA will notify owners and dealers will inspect the panoramic glass to see if primer was installed. If primer is not present, the glass will be reinstalled. MMNA has not yet provided a notification schedule. MMNA's recall number is SR-13-007. Customers may contact MMNA at 1-888-648-7820.
