Check Engine Light Due to Engine Vacuum Leaks
The Check Engine Light may illuminate due to one or more engine vacuum leaks. Our technicians tell us these leaks can be caused by damage to seals and/or vacuum hoses as a result of to much ethanol content in the gasoline. Affected hoses and seals must be replaced to correct this concern.
Oil leak from valve cover gaskets
It is not uncommon for oil leaks to develop from the valve cover gaskets. Replacement of the leaking gaskets will repair this issue.
The Engine May Stall or Not Start Due to a Faulty Crankshaft Sensor
The crankshaft position sensor may fail causing a no start and/or stalling condition. Replacement of the failed sensor will generally corrects this concern.
2-3 Shift Flair From Automatic Transmission
The automatic transmission may develop a 2-3 shift flair. This is commonly caused by an internal fault related to the reverse clutch assembly. Replacement of the rear housing and reverse clutch assembly may be required to correct this concern.
The water shut motor may fail
The water shut motor may fail. This motor controls coolant flow to the heater core. Replacement of the failed part will be necessary to correct this issue.
