Question: missing an burns oil out the exhaust

when i first got the car the cad converter was stopped up an i didnt know it. now it smokes when i give it gas or when it idles down but other than that it runs perfect jus the oil that it burns. people told me that it could be the valves or the rings, i am gonna try the valves first cause no auto part store carries rings for this car.... so let me knw what you would do....

    Are you sure it is oil that you 2002 Saturn SL2 is burning? Oil will generally burn blue, coolant will generally burn white, and excess fuel will generally burn black - in extreme cases to much fuel can also burn white. Please make sure you determine exactly what is causing the excess smoke from the exhaust before making any repairs.
