    Plug wires or boots open the hood at night or in the dark. Start the car and see if any spark is going out the side of the wires

    Thanks, but this engine has the coils on top of plugs no plug wires.

    yes they are also called boots. If you ck each one and make sure there are no "hot spots" or burn marks on the boot. you will not be able to see them arc
