This was my first visit at Midwest Auto Services. Brian was very knowledgeable concerning my vehicle problems. My problem could be very major. In suggesting several options, Brian suggested giving him more time to pinpoint the problem meanwhile, he applied the cost efficient remedy first with the hope that it would fix the issue. Really impressed with his explanation -- the inner working of the piston rings. Confident I have found an auto service I can trust.
Brian and his team did a very nice job!
I would go there again.
They helped me with an engine swap quickly and with excellent service. I will definitely use this shop in the future.
Friendly courteous service. I could not ask for more.
Midwest Auto has performed repairs on all of my vehicles and every repair experience has been excellent.
Really appreciated the customer service I got at Midwest Auto Services!
I thought Jim the owner was extremely professional and courteous. I left after speaking to him feeling like my money was going to a good auto shop. However, when I went to check out a day later a man named Dan was ungracious, rude and very unprofessional. The price Jim quoted me the day before had increased and I asked why that was. Instead of explaining why the amount was different Dan told me that I should have been charged more. He had answered the phone the day before and I remembered his name because he was rude even on the phone. If Jim wants to keep up a good reputation for his shop then I would suggest having a heart to heart with Dan and explain the importance of patience and respect when talking to paying customers. I will be sure to avoid this shop in the future simply to avoid being degraded from this man. I will not refer friends or family either. As a paying customer, it would be nice to spend my hard earned money at a shop where it is appreciated.
Midwest Auto Services was very helpful when inspecting a repair I got done somewhere else. I wanted to make sure the work the other shop said they did was completed. Midwest was nice enough to check for me while doing another repair.
I won't go to any other place to get my oil changed. This place was fantastic! Great service and a great price!!
Very happy with the level of knowledge and service performed on both of my cars.
I was very impressed with how quickly they completed my oil change and how affordable it was. I also liked that they let me know a couple of things to keep an eye on without pressuring me to get any work done that day.
Great shop. Great people.
Excellent service and pricing!
I think the guys there did a good job considering I asked them to install my tires on a short notice. They were super busy that day so I completely understand what it can be like being a mechanic myself. I think the quality of the work turned out just the way it should have been and the pricing was right for the work and of course being in a bigger city where repair work does have to be competitively priced so they can make money. So overall I was satisfied with the experience there.
Highly recommend them. Straight forward and honest. Explains what needs to be done before executing.
Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly people. Will be back when needed.
I brought my car in to have the rear shocks changed out which I thought was a little high, but hey. I think the thing that disturbed me was the mechanic had Matt tell me I had the start of an oil leak at my valve covers and it would not be cheap to fix. He was hired to replace rear shocks, why did I pay for him to be under my hood? It is interesting that prior to this, the shop did a tune up which required the air horn to be completely removed and at that time no oil leak was mentioned or I would have had Brian attend to it. The other thing that disturbs me is the car does not lose but 1/2 of quart of oil between 10,000 mile oil changes and when I inspected the car later it appears the oil cap seal was bad and the leak was originating more from the oil cap and not valve covers. Steam cleaned engine replaced oil cap and after 2 weeks there is no evidence of leakage.
Always courteous, respectful, and informative.
Called on a Tuesday for a price check for a diagnostic to check an over drive light (transmission). I was told they would charge a diagnostic for 50.00. Three days later they finally completed the diagnostic, and tried to sell me a alternator repair with new oil gaskets would come in for over 1,000 bucks. I don't have to be a mechanic to know that a transmission problem doesn't connect with an alternator. After I paid the 50 bucks I had to spend another $165 for a transmission place to run the same diagnostic. Thanks a lot Midwest, for nothing.
Great people, honest and reliable service.Always deliver. Midwest has been my go to for everything automotive for years. They even helped me with my boat. They are truly people you can turn to with confidence.
Friendly, job done.
Outstanding service as always. No hidden agenda or sales pitch for items that are not needed. Always makes me aware of any issues the tech sees and if it's a needed fix that can wait or if it needs immediate attention.
The staff are always extremely cordial and knowledgeable. They provide quick and thorough service for a fair price.
Always friendly. One of the few repair shops that are honest and not out for money. I've taken my car in to get work done and they've come back telling me I don't need that service right now but provided me a quote instead.
Did cover warranty.
Quick and efficient.
Staff has always been friendly. love the customer service.
They Ordered wrong tire but were able to get a tire from another store but took much longer than expected.
They worked us in and got the nail out of my tire & repaired it. Price was a lot more than I have been charged, which would be the only bad thing.
A business that does it the right way!
Good work, fair price, decent schedule.
Jim was very helpful with our car. Thank You.
Midwest Auto is the only place I will take my car for service. The most honest and reliable people anyone could ask for! The owner Jim Clark treats my car as if it were his own. I can count on his employees to do great work on my car at all times! Thanks guys! You're the best!
Good honest service.
They have always carefully reviewed my vehicle problems and resolved any mechanical issues quickly and professionally. The thing I appreciate the most is that they do not do work that is not needed. On several occasions I have seen them explain to senior customers the reason they do not need work done. We appreciate that honesty.
I love this shop! Great honest mechanics who take care of their customers!
They did a pretty good job, just kinda expensive.
Ggreat customer service!
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Explained everything before the work was done.
They are great.
Very good communication through the whole process. My new Hemi runs like a top.
I received good customer service, but like many other auto shops, they attempted to convince me that my car needed repairs that weren't necessary yet.
Friendly quick inspection.
Knowledgeable technicians and great customer service.
Very honest and replaced the faulty part at a very reasonable cost.
Excellent service, and thorough explanation of options for repairs.
