    After the dealer told me that I needed a complete brake and rotor replacement, I took my car to Midas for a second opinion.
    Good: The guy took me into the shop (clearly he could sense my skepticism in needing a total brake / rotor replacement) and showed me how worn the brakes were and explained why the lip on the brake is not good. The staff was friendly and courteous.
    Not so good: Midas quoted me over $1,000 for brake / rotor replacement. The dealership quoted me $700 and RepairPal's estimate was $500 - $750. When I presented my other quotes, Midas simply could not match the price. I was told that it would take three to five days for the repair. Who has that kind of time? I also had to wait an hour to get my car inspected, even when I had an appointment. The shop did not seem very busy that day.
    The three star rating is because they actually took the time to physically show me what was wrong with my brakes.
