Mercury Grand Marquis Recalls
The headlights may fail to operate because of a failure of the lighting control module. This can cause reduced visibility and increased risk of an accident.
Loss of steering control could occur unexpectedly while driving.
Corrosion can cause the steering shaft to separate at the lower bearing resulting a in complete loss of steering.
A problem with the wheel bearing and hub assembly may allow the wheel to separate from the vehicle. If the wheel falls off while driving, a crash could result.
The windshield may not be properly installed, which may cause wind noise, squeaks/rattles, and/or water leaks. If the windshield comes loose in a crash, vehicle occupants may be less protected.
The battery cable fusible link may contact a cross member attaching bolt. Over time, this could damage the link which could overheat and potentially catch on fire.
