Mercedes-Benz GL550 Recalls
The inflator that deploys the driver's frontal air bag in the event of an accident may rupture and spray metal fragments onto vehicle occupants. This can increase risk of serious injury or death.
Recalls on your affected Chrysler or Mercedes-Benz vehicle must be performed by the respective Chrysler or Mercedes-Benz dealership. Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz will notify owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local appropriate Chrysler or Mercedes-Benz dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
The anchor bolts for the second row seating seat belts may not have been tightened properly.
Mercedes-Benz will notifying owners of affected GL models during May 2013. If you are not notified and feel you should have been, please contact your local dealer. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call.
