I imported a 1993 MBZ 600SL from Canada. I just found out the car is not in compliant with the U S version and not in compliance with USDOT Standards. I want to modify the vehicle with a functioning emissions system(new catalysts and 02 sensors USA) that includes OBD. I have a Mercedes Benz mechanic and I am interested for the parts only. After test drive dash gages quit, coolant temp still registers, all other guages quit working, Speedometer, Tach, fuel gage, voltmeter all failed at the same time. This is a Japanese SL600 sport coupe. We have not been able to locate the OVP relay? Pulled the cluster, W1 ground looks good for all wires connected there, have power at 2 points coming into the cluster round plugs KOER. Fuse 1 and 5 are good for power in the main block. Does anyone have pictures of the round cluster plugs with location coding, I have the wiring diagram for the cluster but it isn't helpful in this regard. Gages were working fine up to this moment. Will appreciate any incite into this car and why this problem might have suddenly occured. Tx Mark

2000 SL600 REPLACED CATALYTIC CONVERTERS 14000 MILES AGO under warranty. Have gone bad again! $2500.00 repair. Need an alternative!!!!! Their must be a better way! Any advice?
