2009 Mazda Mazda5 Recalls
Mazda is recalling 2009–2010 Mazda 5 models due to moisture in the fuel pump electrical connector, which may result in corrosion and connector pin failure. Pin failure may cause stalling or a no-start condition. Dealers will inspect the fuel pump connector and repair or replace the affected wire harness if necessary.
Mazda is recalling 2007–2009 Mazda 3 and Mazda 5 vehicles due to a sudden loss of power steering assist that can occur at any time. A sudden loss of power steering assist adversely affects the driver's ability to steer the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Starting in September 2010, Mazda will mail notification letters to owners with information about the recall.
