Question: Manual Transmission shifting pen

My truck won't shift into first or second gear, looks like there's a cylinder when you pull the shifter out on the right hand side that will push in but will not pop back out to keep pressure against the shifter

    If you are not able to shift into first or second gear, I would first inspect the clutch and hydraulics. Making sure there is material and no leaks, I would then be concerned with synchro issues or shift fork issues.

    I think you'll find you have an issue with the hydraulics or clutch.
