I bought the workshop manuals for my truck they were expensive. There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You get a one year subscription to year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual. http://www.alldatadiy.com/

I have a 95 toyota corolla that over a course of three days I was noticing the gearshift button was having some mild sticking when trying to take it out of park. I checked fuse and brakelights, they were good. after digging deeper and some more research I learned how to reset and over ride the button. It seems I have a failing solenoid situation. Im a self taught do-it-yourselfer (whenever poss.)and my process of elimination has avoided towing fees in the past.here are my questions: What is involved with correcting this failing solenoid? worst case scenerio? is doing it myself possible? and most importantly..why cant I and all the other people asking via-the web,(theres alot),find anyone that can give us some insight about this question?
