Question: Major rusting and sub-frame causing it to break while driving?

We were driving down the road and the frame seperated from the front driver's side strut due to severe rust. It almost caused a very serious accident. Ford tells me they can't help and there's no recall.

    TIME TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER CAR. THIS ISSUE SHOULD NOT BE REPAIRED AND NEVER ON THE ROAD AGAIN.

    Thanks for your response, I owe a year of payments and Ford refuses to address the problem. As soon as my ex signs off on the title, I intend to trade it in. I refuse to sell it as a driveable car as it is a major liability to all drivers/passengers.
