When the maintenance service indicator in the dash board lights up, service is due. Use this schedule along with the additional required or recommended service maintenance schedules to service your vehicle.
Service is based on every 10,000 miles or 1 year, when the light comes on. How many miles are on your vehicle?

My car has just over 30,000 miles on it, and I am making arrangements to have the scheduled maintenance, but cannot find my book that lists all of the things that need to be done. I am actually working with a mechanic that's not affiliated with Mercedes Benz because it's too costly to go to the dealer.

Service B for your model is very involved as per the factory service inspection sheet , this is just some of the areas covered and i recommend to have it done from a dealer for sure ,oil and filter ,cabin air filter ,some dealers include wipers ,remove wheels rotate if needed ,inspect front and rear brake pads and measure the rotor thickness , inspect all suspension and under carriage ,if this is your first b service i am pretty sure front brake pads are getting close to the wear limit sensor ,clean and lube moon roof rail guides , at 39,000 you will need to do a transmission service to keep your warranty of the transmission if there where any issues down the road ,well there is so many other things involved i could not even mention ,Mercedes-Benz is on top of it for service and has a reputation so hope this helps you ,
