I have worked a few block from M&R for 4 years and always hesitated taking my car there; I finally gave them a chance seeing how close they are to my job. From the moment I walked in, I had that small-family biz feeling and really liked that. Mike Senior, JR and Patty are all in sync. Senior has been awesome and even offered me 3 free oil changes, after I spent a fortune on new break lines. M&R is a great company and they are plain out honest!
My experience at M&R Import Car Service was fantastic. They were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They went above and beyond and did a whole safety check on my car, replaced a light and tested my battery when I was just having them check a flat tire. I ultimately had to get new tires which they were price competitive and kept me informed during the whole process.
Dealer is more trustworthy and experienced. I went in for a software update, which was supposed to be around $1000 with other repairs. Walked out with a water pump failure. The car was given back to me the first time, supposedly test driven by one of their workers, clearly not the case. I ended up having to take numerous cab trips over to the shop. Huge waste of time and huge inconvenience. My car fan now makes a weird noise when's it warmed up as well as a funny smell comes out from the vents. Seriously disappointed by the service.
They were incredibly accommodating. I originally took my car to the Firestone on North Avenue in Chicago. When Firestone advised that I needed an import repair shop, M&R picked up my car from Firestone. I was also out of town, so they held my car without charge for a couple of days until I returned to town.
Good communication throughout my automobile was being inspected/serviced. Very knowledgeable staff. (Woman friendly) I was most impressed by there honesty,respectfulness, straightforward way of explaining my automobile recommended service vs. required repairs. I was recommended by a work college who has doing business with this facility for over 25 yrs. Now I understand why. To my surprise they even saved me a trip to the Smog test center too.
Through service and uncompromising customer service is what my vehicle & I recently experienced during a scheduled appointment visit. Like most I was tired of local Dealership shenanigans. I'm happily to report this Auto Service have maintained my vehicle with the up most quality service the past 4+ years. Along with their passion to actually make a difference when explaining present vs. future preventive service. I highly recommend this service station (family owned and operated) along with their superb staff: Patty, Chris and the Team are pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. It was a pleasure visiting you all. Continued success to Team M&R.
I was feeling rushed and the process was explained to me along with photos of my vehicle, they even emailed me the photos to share with my husband. I was relieved they saved me a towing fee and they were able to come out and perform a service call and they took car back to their repair facility to inspect. They later emailed me the report on my car.
