Lower intake gasket 3.4 chevy-Should I use gasket sealer? on 2003 Chevrolet Venture

I'm still trying to get this right. I was wondering if it was a good idea to use a gaket sealer when replacing these gaskets, like form a gasket or rtv? Also if the aluminum is pitted should that be filled with a sealer? thanks for your help!

The shop manual indicates: "Apply 8-12mm bead of RTV sealer on each ridge where front and rear of the intake manifold contacts the block." The RTV and resvised gasket set likely will compensate for the pitting. Happy Thanksgiving!
