2000 Toyota Corolla Question: Low ticking noise when starting up. Could it need oil change?

    Try checking the oil level first before driving! Running an engine low on oil can be disasterous.
    Improper oil grade, worn engine components, and/or cold startup temperatures can all produce ticking noises that fade as engine temps get to proper operating levels.
