2005 Chevrolet Tahoe Question: Low oil pressure warning

In Mornings when it is really cold, for about 10 seconds then pressure comes up, changed sending unit today, but have not noticed any change.

    Oil type/sae, filter brand? Fresh oil? Engine noise at all? Need this info for more info.!

    I will get with you on sae type and brand filter, fresh oil yes about 700 miles on it, and no engine noise

    Actual oil pressure can be checked with a test gauge screwed into where the pressure switch/sending unit goes, that way you will know for sure what is going on!

    Ok can I pick one up at an auto parts store or should I just take it in to a certified shop that has the equipment

    Take it to a shop but you may have to leave it so it can be tested cold. Any repair shop should be equipped to do this.

    Just your opinion and experience with 160, 000 miles you think it could be the oil pump going out
