The Low Oil Pressure Light came on. What kind of problems can there be. How can we check if the Oil pump is working with the right pressure.

There is an oil pressure sending unit that threads into the engine to measure the pressure. This is also typically where a manual pressure gauge can be installed to check it out for the accurate pressure reading.

Low oil pressure can be from an oil flow issue, such as even a faulty oil filter. It can be from improper oil viscosity. It can be from sludge build up in the oil pump pick up. It can be from a faulty oil pump. Hard to say until you get the base reading. Good luck.
