2003 BMW 330Ci Q&A

2003 BMW 330Ci Question: Low Engine Idle

My 330 has been idling very low lately sometimes to the point where it feels like the engine wants to shut off. What could be the problem? -
Answer 1
The low idle condition with your 2003 BMW 330Ci may be caused by a dirty throttle body. Debris can build up around the throttle body restricting the air flow at idle causing a low idle condition. Cleaning the throttle body with some brake cleaner sprayed on a shop rag may help restore the idle speed to a more normal range. -
