I have been told that my brake fluid is possibly low but that it cannot be checked or topped off because this car has a sealed brake system. Is this true?

Usually if the fluid is low and you have no leaks that means your brake pads have worn down and probably needs replacement

Brake fluid flush is recommended by the manufacture every 24000 miles.

My mother has a 2005 aveo, her brake fluid can be added by getting under the hood.
