2002 Toyota Corolla Q&A

2002 Toyota Corolla Question: Loud Noise when applying brakes after car has been driven for a good while.

My 2002 Corolla drives like a dream until I have made several stops and have been driving a good long while. It sounds like grinding and flapping. This sound appears to be coming from the passenger side of the car. I am a senior citizen and on a fixed income, therefore I would like to have some kind of idea about what this is before I take it to a shop. I realize that it sounds like the brakes, but it doesn't do this all of the time. Can you give me some advice, please? -

Better have the brakes checked because it sounds like the brake pads are worn and as they heat up they begin to make noise, you can find a repair shop here www.repairpal.com/directory and double check prices here www.repairpal.com/estimator put in your cars info and choose front brake pad/resurface rotors -
