2006 Volkswagen GTI Question: Loud Noise
the check engine light will need to be "scanned" as the very first step. some parts stores do this free, however, the noise needs to be diagnosed ASAP. suggest a shop that specializes in VW and they will have the software to see why the check engine light is on. - overbys
I have the same exact problem. I was told it was the transmission first. Then the clutch barring. I've had the clutch barring fixed and the problem still persists. If you find anything out, please let me know. Thank you - isaray
I must have a bad bearing on the a/c compressor clutch. really loud with out load, when I turn on the a/c the noise goes away. With out load pully on a/c unit wobbles and it is spitting out metalic...
