I lost my Master key when a coat was stolen and the car keys were in the pocket. Replacement from a Toyota dealer, as you probably know, is expensive. I still had my "backup" key. I went to ebay and purchased a blank key with the prom in it. It was about $18.00 and they also sent the directions to reprogram the key - the procedures are like doing the chicken dance - real crazy. I then went to a real locksmith, not a Home Depot and paid another $25.00 to have the key cut from the backup. The locksmith laughed and said "It never works" you just wasted your money. I told him that at least I was trying. I went out to the parking lot, followed the directions to program the newly cut Master and it started the car right up and I could drive. The locksmith asked me for the ebay sellers email as the keys were cheaper than his source. Hope this helps. Some ebay sellers really provide a service. CMT

If you have the remote try replacing the battery in the remote first. If not is the alarm a Toyota factory alarm, port installed alarm or aftermarket alarm. The alarm remotes are available from Toyota dealerships but I got the remote from a website below it came with easy to understand reprogramming procedures. http://www.keylessremotesforless.com/Toyota.htm
