Lost clutch pedal on 1994 Volkswagen Jetta

No resistance on clutch pedal . Clutch cable working correctly. Arm going to transmission not engaging inside?

There is a lever arm inside the transmission and it breaks if the clutch is worn. To see if the lever is broken, you have to remove the green cover on the transmission near the clutch lever. Then you remove the clutch actuating lever (the one the cable connects to)and then remove the other lever, you will see a sizeable crack in the metal of the arm. Once you replace that lever, you need to check the clutch operation, if it is worn you should replace it or you might have the new lever break. As the clutch wears out, the clutch operation gets more difficult due to the change in leverage from the disc wearing down. Good luck
