Question: lose all power while driving and oil light came on

while driving my car suddenly started to slow and lost all power and the oil light came on. i was told i have a dead battery. i let the vehicle sit for a bit and tried to start the vehicle and it will not turn over. what could the problem be?

    It sounds like you have a charging issue. Have your alternator tested. If your battery is dead it wouldn't affect the vehicle while you are driving. Once the vehicle is started it runs off of the alternator.
