1995 Mercedes-Benz C220 Question: loosing water----engine running rough....just had water pump replaced

The problem just started, the water pump was replaced about a month ago. Is there any way water can get into a cylinder other than having a defective head gasket? Please tell me yes.

    there is no answer to your question because no one knows
    why the engine is running rough. if the check engine light is on and the code is identified, it may have a defective
    ignition coil, spark plug or plug wire. those are the most common causes for a misfire. absolutely no connection to the water pump. diagnose the problem first and assume nothing until then.
