My trunk won't open. the key turns most of the way, but if I believe the key will break if I try to turn it anymore. The fron release sounds as if it is trying to open the trunk. I can't quite reach the mechanism from the back seat. The dealer suggested a big screwdriver, but I don't want to destroy the lock and drive around with my trunk taped down. Do you have any suggestions?

These types of problems will occur over time, and as a mechanic who is presented with this situation, we would investigate to determine the best course of action. Sometimes you can get it open by fiddling with the lock/latch, and sometimes you can access the trunk from the backseat area and open the trunk from the inside. Can you fold down the rear seat and see inside the trunk?
