Question: Locked Ignition Won't Move At All

Question

I am able to take the key in and out of the ignition and the annoying beep still goes when the door is open but the key will not move to start the car. What should I do?

    Sounds like the ignition lock cylinder has failed i nternally. Will need to change cylinder and you will have a new key. May also have problem at bottom of housing where the cylinder meshes and causing the lock cylinder to not be able to turn.
