2009 Chevrolet Cobalt Question: location of oil filter on a 2009 Chevy Cobalt

I want to change the oil and oil filter on my cobalt, but I can't find the oil filter.

    right above the starter there is a black plastic cover with a big HEX nut on top of it.. remove this cover and the filter will come out with it.. 1 1/4" wrench may be usefull..be careful NOT to cross thread the cover when you replace it.
