location of brake light switch for 2005 silverado 1500 and if its hard to replac on 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

is the brake light switch connected to brake pedal

Are you having no brake lights or brake lights that stay on, I recently had a neighbor with a stay on brake lights and the problem ended up being not the brake light switch, but a small little circular button almost at the top of the pedal that had broken off, I found it and put it back in a little hole where it fell from and it immediatly allowed the brake lights to turn off, therfore avoiding purchasing a new brakelight switch. Replacing a brakelight switch sometimes makes you feel like a pretzel you may have to do some twisting, and have your tool very accessible, once you get in position, or have it done by the pros(smile)
