my volvo v70 xc went into limp home mode. i took the car to the dealer, they found codes from the transmission. they said it was slipping between 3rd and 4th gear. i asked if it is possible to keep the car from returning to limp home mode after resetting the computer, they said the only option was to replace the transmission altogether. parts an labor quote.....$5000
how can i keep the car from going into limp home mode and keep driving the car?

go to www.automobilemag.com then click on recalls. click on the correct make, model & year. it will give you a list of recall issues dealing with your vehicle. you can click on each "recall detail" to read more about each issue. MAKE SURE YOU PRINT THE WHOLE PAGE BEFORE LOGGING OFF. CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP ASAP!!!! THEY ARE OBLIGATED TO REPLACE MOST OR SOMETIMES ALL DEFECTED PARTS!!!!
