How To fix the two problems below please:

-Brake light switch failure can cause the ESP and BAS warnings to illuminate.

-The SRS (airbag) light may illuminate if liquid is spilled into the seat belt buckles or pools underneath the seat and gets into the electrical connector for the seat belt pretensioners.

    It looks like you have been searching technical bulletins for your 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240. In most cases replacing the brake light switch should take care of item 1. If you find corrosion on the electrical connectors for the seat belt pretensioners the connectors will need to be cleaned or replaced as necessary.
