Question: LIGHT CAME ON FOR OVERHEATED

i WAS DRIVING HOME FROM BAKERSFIELD TODAY WHEN MY LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID MY CAR WAS HOT AND TO STOP AND CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE . WELL I TURNED IT OFF AND AFTER ABOUT 10 MINS STARTED IT UP AGAIN AND DROVE HOME . IT DID NOT COME ON AGAIN ! HELP I DONT WANT TO HAVE A BAD CAR I JUST GOT IT IT HAS 61000 MILES ON IT AND IT SEEMED TO BE A GOOD CAR I HAVE JUST HAD IT FOR 3 WEEKS.

    Have a shop check this out ASAP, before you blow your motor from a lack of coolant. I work on BMW cooling system issues every week, at 61,000 you will need some work. The water pumps can wear out by then as well as the coolant reserve bottles, the thermostat, even the radiators can go out by then. These are NOT cheap cars to keep running correctly, if you don't already know that.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH I DID CONTACT A SHOP AND THERE GOING TO CHECK IT OUT ON MONDAY, THANK YOU . BTW THE COOLANT IS GOOD I CAN SEE IT IN THERE AND THE LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON AGAIN. YES I KNOW THESE ARE SPENDY CARS BUT THEY ARE JUST SO NICE.
