What Should You Do?
Lexus will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning December 15, 2007. If you experience a fuel leak and/or smell, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
Mechanical stress on two fuel pipes in the engine compartment, combined with the presence of corrosive agents in the fuel, can result in a crack in the fuel line. A fuel leak can result, increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the two suspect fuel lines with redesigned parts to correct this concern. The Lexus recall number is 7LC.
