 Rookie

I replaced the bulb for the left side headlght because it went out, but I noticed that when it went out the left turn arrow is slightly illimunated. Now the turn signal wont work when I have the headlights on and the left headlight will not work at all. I've switched the new bulb out and nothing changed. I've also checked all the fuses. I took apart the steering column to gain access to the turn signal lever/headlight switch but stopped there.

Any ideas?? Please help!
