Question: left rear back up light out

checked and replaced bulb. switched fixture left to right no luck.

    You will need a wiring diagram and a voltmeter to go much further with this diagnosis. You may want to try bentley online, they are supposed have a very good BMW repair manuals.

    had the same problem with my '01 325 ci. It was the actual metal housing and had to be replaced. A couple of the spot welds came undone and would not act as a proper ground. Cost me about $60.00.
