2003 Volkswagen Jetta Q&A

2003 Volkswagen Jetta Question: Leaking Diesel

My car is leaking diesel. I had it checked out and was told it appears to be leaking out of the fuel injector. My car has been driven 195,000. I just spent $2,000 to have other work done - what is the cost of fixing this and is it worth repairing or will the car become a money pit? -
Answer 1
If it is just 1 injector, it should not be a big deal. If it is #1,3,4 it is about $300 for the part. #2 is more. Labor is about an hour. Most vehicles take about $1100/year to maintain. You have put a lot of miles in 5 years, so you are do for some new parts. -
