Question: Leaking Coolant

I hope someone can give me a sound advise. The coolant reservoir tank on my Audi A6 Quattro 1995 was replaced 2x in the past 2 years & now coolant is leaking again. At least half of a full tank leaks out to the ground directly underneath the coolant tank on the driver side. What could be the cause of the recurring leak? Did the mechanic miss anything? If I have the reservoir tank & cap replaced & the leak persists, what then? Where else should I look for possible source of leak?

    You need to get your flashlight and mirror and look for the leak. It should be obvious and could be something simple like a loose coolant hose clamp. You may have to get under the car and trace the trail of leaking coolant to the source. If no luck or you don't know how to fix it, find an Audi specialist for help.

    Thanks for the response. Pressure check was done, visible but very minimal leak from the temp. sensor, maybe because the coolant level was at the minimum level? I added water up to almost the maximum level, drove the car this morning turned off the engine, parked & found coolant pouring out from the temp. sensor. connection to the reservoir tank. Does this mean I really have to replace the tank & cap or is there an o-ring or gasket within that can be replaced to see if the leak would stop?
