LATELY TRANSMISSIOM SLIPS A FEW SECONDS SOME MORNINGS LEAVING THE DRIVEWAY. on 2001 Nissan Xterra

IS IT POSSIBLE WHAT A AUTOMATIVE SHOP SAID? THE ALTERNATOR IS BAD AND NOT CHARGING THE BATTTERY. THE TRANSMISSION IN EFFECT COULD NOT BE GETTING SOME OF THE ELECTRICAL IMPULSES TO WORK CORRECTLY.

How many miles on it ? Has it ever been serviced? (fluid/filter)..IS the alternator in fact , bad? IF SO , fix what you KNOW is faulty , and then see if the symptom with trans continues............

THANKS--192.000 MILES--TRANSMISSION SERVICED EVERY 40,000 MILES--DIAGNOSTIC CHECK SAID ALTERNATOR BAD,NOT CHARGING BATTERY--AUTOMOTIVE CENTER SAID GOOD ALTERNATOR INSTALLED WOULD ALLOW THEM TO SEE IF THAT FIXES ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION PROBLEM OF GETTING GOOD ELECTRICAL IMPULSES TO THE TRANSMISSION.JUST WONDERED IF ALL THAT MAKES SENSE? OR IS IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM TO BE RELATED TO THE BAD ALTERNATOR?

It's possible , either way , if you know the alternator is bad , fix it. Then you will get a more definitive answer.
