Pulsation On Brake Application
A pulsation may be noted upon brake application. This condition is commonly caused by warped brake rotors. Our technicians recommend inspecting both front and rear brake rotors when this condition occurs. Brake pads should be replaced along with any warped rotors to correct this condition.
Corrosion in the ABS Modulator Electrical Connector Due to Water Intrusion
In severe wet conditions, water may enter the anti-lock brake system (ABS) modulator electrical connector resulting in corrosion and illumination of the ABS warning light. Our technicians tell us revised modulator ground leads are available to better seal the connector. If corrosion is found in the electrical connector the connector will need to be repaired as necessary and the new ground leads installed.
One or Both Power Folding Mirrors May Not Fold In or Out Correctly
One or both power folding mirrors may not fold in or out correctly. This can be a result of a dis-logged micro switch in the mirror assembly. Our technicians recommend checking this micro switch before replacing the mirror assembly.
Various Faults May Occur With the Air Suspension System
Various faults may occur with the air suspension system. Cold weather conditions may result in low Battery voltage and/or the pressure relief valve may freeze open, resulting in loss of air pressure and damaged to the rear air springs, requiring spring replacement. Faults with a sticking pressure switch, pressure sensor, or electronic control unit can cause the air suspension warning lamp to illuminate.
The Fuel Gauge May Read Incorrectly
The fuel gauge may read incorrectly due to a failed fuel sending unit inside the fuel tank. Failed sending units should be replaced to restore proper fuel gauge operation.
The Check Coolant Warning Light May Illuminate
The check coolant warning light may illuminate if the incorrect engine coolant mix or type is used. The coolant/water mixture should be kept at the 50/50 ratio for proper warning light operation. Additionally, if the incorrect type of coolant is used, cylinder head and cooling system damage may result.
Chirping Type Noise From Engine Area at Idle
A chirping type noise may be noted from the engine area, mostly at idle. This type of noise is generally caused by a faulty drive belt idler pulley. Our technicians tell us a revised pulley is available to correct this concern. Chirping Type Noise From Engine at Idle
