Known Problems

Internal failure of the rear cargo door latch can cause the door to not open when using the outside door handle.

Low coolant levels can be caused by leaking head gaskets and/or failed cylinder liners. Misfires or engine performance issues usually accompany these problems.

A sticky ignition switch can cause the ignition key to become stuck, and possibly break during operation.

Internal failure of the front differential can cause a condition where the vehicle may be in gear but does not move ("no drive condition").

A Coolant leak under the middle of the vehicle can be caused by a leaking throttle body deicer. Coolant travels down the engine towards the rear before dripping to the ground.

A sticking thermostat can cause the engine cooling fans to operate even if they are not needed for cooling.

One or more of the power windows may fail due to a worn window regulator. Replacement of the failed regulator should correct this problem.

The Check Engine Light may illuminate due to a defective EVAP leak detection pump or defective a oxygen sensor.

And exhaust leak may be caused by catalytic converter securing nuts coming loose.

The engine oil pan and valve cover gaskets tend to develop oil leaks.

The transfer case can develop a fluid leak from the intermediate shaft and/or the access plates.

Uneven ride height on the vehicle can be caused by leaking air springs.

A sticking windshield wiper switch can cause a delay in wiper operation, especially in cold weather.

The intake manifold can leak coolant externally, however it is not typically due to a gasket failure. The intake manifold bolts tend to come loose and need to be replaced/updated.

If a brake light is not working, and the bulb is good, the brake light socket should be inspected because they can burn out.
