Land Rover Recalls
The system that detects the weight of a passenger in the passenger front seat may malfunction, resulting in the passenger frontal air bag being disabled during a crash. This would cause an increased risk of passenger injury.
The engine may seize unexpectedly due to an internal manufacturing problem. This would cause loss of vehicle control.
The power brake system may lose braking assistance, due to a hole wearing into a vacuum hose. This can result in extra braking effort, and could possibly result in an accident.
One or both flexible front brake lines can fail. This would result in reduced braking ability due to the brake fluid loss.
The system that monitors proper tire pressures may fail, due to a problem with the system locating and being able to properly monitor the sensors in each wheel. This can result in a warning for low tire pressure not occurring, and can result in unsafe vehicle operation.
The passenger air bag may be inactive due to a problem with the system that determines the weight of the occupant. This can increase risk of injury to the passenger in a crash.
If a turn signal light malfunctions, it may not show a proper warning to indicate a problem to the driver. This would typically be shown by a fast flashing turn signal when activated. This could lead to a safety issue.
The driver and/or passenger side seat air bag may not deploy as expected in the event of a crash. This would increase risk of occupant injury.
40 vehicles are being recalled because the brakes may fail due to a rear brake caliper coming loose from its mounting. The loose caliper could also strike the wheel resulting in sudden deflation of the tire.
Thirty-six vehicles are being recalled because the windshield may not have been installed correctly and could come loose in the event of a crash.
