Lancaster Toyota has been serving East Petersburg since 1973 and has many of the qualities we love to see in a car dealerships' service department. They have long-tenured, trained, and experienced employees with numerous manufacturer certifications. Some of the dealership’s employees have been here for 25, even 35 years! The younger technicians are trade school graduates who can now continue to learn from these seasoned veterans. Service Manager Steve Shepos leads this team and puts his many years of industry experience to keep everyone focused on the job at hand, getting your vehicle repaired correctly and efficiently. Very poor service. I bought a brand new 2011 Toyota Sienna. First time I took back for State and Emission inspection, I lost my owner card and the insurance card, so I have to re-apply a new one. The second time I took my car in for 30,000 service and State inspection. The mechanic removed my glove compartment to check the cabin filter. He did not installed them back. The cover laid on the floor, the dirty filter on my passenger seat. I called the manager, he said he was sorry and will relay this issue to the manager of customer relations and let him call me, but he never called. What I will do: 1/ I will file a complaint to the business bureau in Harrisburg. 2/ I will tell everyone not to buy and take their car to Lancaster Toyota because they are very very bad for service. 3/ I will make a complaint in the News paper and in the face book to let every to be aware of the B-A-D service in Lancaster Toyota.
I've used Lancaster Toyota for service for the last 10+ years and have not had any problems with their sevice, their prices or their willingness to explain what and why they recomend services. I have not had many instances of recommeded additions at Lancaster toyota (I tend to believe the auto repair industry tends to "push" extra (unneeded?) services).
Because Lancaster Toyota does not stand behind and honor Toyota manufactered parts that are defective . They just wipe it off and tell you that there is no problem and it is normal for battery acid to leak all over the engine components and electrical panel in the engine bay of my 2011 Toyota Tundra . They say it's just venting and will not replace a defective Toyota manufactured part. So if i do not spend the money to replace the defective part myself my truck will be destroyed by battery acid damage.I will never reccomend Lancaster Toyota to anyone for a reliable service station .
Efficient. Followed through with everything they told me they would do and cost was at or less than the estimate. If an issue was encountered requiring additional time/cost, the dealership contacted me first, provided an addendum to the original estimate and gave me the option to proceed. The surroundings are new, clean and comfortable. Should I not decide to wait on my vehicle, their shuttle service to my office was a "no-brainer."
We had a front wheel problem which turned out to be they put the brake pads in backwards. Instead of changing the rotor and fixing they just turned the pads around. Now it still sounds terrible and you can feel the grinding in the gas pedal. Don't know if they will fix it correct the next time but I doubt it.
I have been very pleased with the service at Toyota. So far, I feel they have been fair in taking care of the problems I have with my car and not doing work that my car does not require, which is very important to me. I know some garages look for problems to rack up more expense and I have not had that experience at Toyota..
