2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Q&A
2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Question: knocking when i turn in the steering
The the intermediate steering shaft connects the base of the steering column inside the car to the steering gear which is mounted to the front sub-frame. The intermediate steering shaft includes two universal joints which are needed because the steering column and steering gear are not in line with each other. The shaft can also lenghten and shorten slightly to allow for flex between the frame and the body. - Russ
I get a knocking noise in my steering and can feel it in the brake pedal or the floor when I turn the steering wheel when going slow. Any suggestions?
I suspect I have a bad tire rod I hear a knocking sound when turn steering is very difficult to turn especially at low speeds like turning into parking lot...I've had my PS pump replaced what could...
