Knocking Sound on 1999 Chevrolet S10

hi i was wondering just noticed it today i have a knocking sound on the front driver side wheel area when i am slowing down but when i turn the sound stops?what does this mean?

I would inspect bearing an repack o replace. Also make sure your chassis is lubricated.

Timing gears may wear causing a mild to severe knocking noise from the front of the engine. Replacement of the timing gears is necessary.
It creaks when I turn & back out. It knocks when going 30-45mph - and now I can feel the knock with my foot. It doesn't do this over bumps or at higher speeds. I'm worried - it feels like the wheel...
but will restart. and trans jumps into gear. is it lack of fuel or could i have short out. also have code for knock sensor could this cause the engine to run rough and act as if dying
my buddy got it red hot the engine when he was stuck i pulled the sparkplugs to see what cyl but it keep going with the sound any ideas
