When the car is in Park, there is no noise. In any other gear, it starts making a rattling/knocking noise. Any ideas what this might be?

MasterSounds like some kind of an issue in the transmission. When you take it out of park (or neutral, I bet...), you engage the input shaft to the output shaft of the transmission.
Perhaps also check the tail housing of the transmission. The bushing at the back could be worn too. If this happens, you could have noise.
