I took mine to a Honda Dealer and they told me the same thing that they couldn't find anything wrong. Then I took it to Firestone and had the mechanic ride along with me and once he heard it it said "sway bar links" were bad and that it's not a hazard but should be fixed.
we bought our odyssey last year with 114,000miles on it. the past few months have noticed a clunk, or bumping sound when going over a bump or even turning into a parking spot etc. Honda mechanic said they couldnt find anything wrong. now what?
I have a knock noise coming from the tire well and suspension areas when we drive over a dip in the road or a speed bump. I believe it's happening on almost 3 corners of the car now. It makes this noise louder when it's been raining.
Sound like something loose when I drive over a bump
solid thunk sound from front corner when stop and go
Clunking sound from front of vehicle when going over a bump or cobblestone type surface
As described already by the masses.
thump sound when I hit a bump
clunk in right front suspension when on rough roads.
Clicking noise when going over bumps. Took it to Sunnyside Honda and they fixed it at no cost. They replaced the front strut bump stops and the stabilizer.
Known issue that Honda should have recalled.
I had this problem while going over rough terrain and my mechanic said the car was just being grecksy (sp). I now have a new mechanic. Problem is not fixed though.
Not fixed has been doing it for a long time.
