I had my car towed there. I told them that the wiring to the fuel injector might be loose. He told me that it was the fuel injector, so he supposedly knows what he's doing. He fixed it. I ran it and went a few blocks and it stopped on me again and started doing the same thing that it was doing before. So I got in there and messed with the wires and it started up and was working just fine. He charged me 475 dollars and I don't think he even fixed the fuel pump like he said he did. I can't say if he did or if he didn't but I do know that he didn't fix the problem. So I said "screw it" and fixed it myself because I used to be a mechanic. I just didn't have the time.
It's really simple. I went in there because my electrical system on my brake had stopped. Now, for some strange reason, the wire on the electrical system came out. I talked to him on the phone to see if he could un-jam the wire and he said that it was impossible and that could not be done so I had to replace the whole thing for 800 dollars. I asked him for the old part when he was done and he said that they didn't have the part anymore. I went to another shop and they had one, so I know for sure that he was lying to me. They told me that they could have fixed the part without completely replacing it. I went to them another time to fix one single part and they replaced three of the sensors instead of just one and I got another 1000 dollar bill. The sensors are supposed to last for more that 3600 miles without going out. What are the odds of all three going out at the same time?
They were really kind to me, and they understood the situation I was going through with my dad's car. They set up a payment plan with me even though it was on really short notice. The guy, even though he was going through family problems, got a hold of his staff and was able to set up payments for me. It was just really good customer service.
