Question: key will only turn backwards, will not turn on van?

 Rookie

when I put the key in my van it will trun backwards but I can't turn the van on. When I go to turn it forward it will not turn. Any sugggestions???

    sounds like an ignition key and tumbler problem, call an auto locksmith and see if they can repl with tactory key and program the skim if you have one
